If you have been looking for more natural ways to treat anxiety, pain, and more, read on for my top 10 list of essential oils.
I started using essential oils over a year ago to treat lingering pain and anxiety. Lyme disease often brought with it a long list of symptoms that were difficult to treat. I was always a skeptic of the power of oils until I went to a yoga retreat in the Berkshires. My arms had been breaking out in rashes for months Nothing seemed to clear them. I tried creams, changing soaps, and using organic detergent to wash my clothes. The warmth and sweat from the summer heat made them worse and I did everything to cover them up – even using foundation!
At Kripalu, I booked an appointment for a massage and told my therapist about the rashes on my arms. I said, “they aren’t contagious! I just don’t know how to get rid of them.” She asked if she could apply Lavender oil to the rashes on my arms and I obliged. When the massage was over, she gave me a small bottle of the Lavender essential oil and told me to apply to the rash daily until they went away. I had doubts that this would ever work, but I was willing to try ANYTHING.
Within days, the Lavender essential oil cleared the rashes on my arms and they never came back. I became hooked and started researching the powerful medicinal benefits of essential oils and became a Young Living member so that I could share my knowledge with others.
